About This Work
This homage to Diego Velazquez' "The Lady with a Fan" is part of the series "Through the Looking Glass" that studies human psychology thru reinterpretations of master portraits (e.g. Neel, Rembrandt, Holbein), but with a constraining parameter: each is made to relate to a cover song by Siouxsie and the Banshees, from their album "Thru the Looking Glass.”
